I have Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Tuner kit for Vista and XP MCE with USB remote controller. I have built a multimedia PC installing XP MCE but due to problems with MKV files and media center,I decided to use BSplayer or Mediaplayer Classic. I installed Girder 4 but could not have it worked with the remote control.I tried to add remote but Girder cannot sense the remote's signals. Some buttons works with BSplayer and Mediaplayer Classic without usage of Girder. Mediacenter uses remote control without any problem.
I tried MCE plugin but the alternative driver was not accepted by Windows although remote control looks like MCE remote control but I am not sure if it is exactly same.
Name of the remote is Pinnacle PCTV remote infrared receiver/transmitter installed in system devices section of device manager.Name of the driver is IrBus.sys
Do you have a suggestion?

I too have a pinnacle USB remote that is MCE compatable. I use windows xp pro - Not media center edition with beyond tv. I did get the remote working using this info:

http://www.ironclad.net/pinnacle_remote_kit/

The remote works fine with Intelliremote. I would prefer to use Girder however. I cant get the ir blaster working with intelliremote.

I need a girder plugin that will recognize the remote. Is there a generic MCE remote plugin somewhere that will allow us NON MCE users to use this remote? This seems so rudementary that I am astonished that I can't eaisily find this plug in.

If anyone could share some input here, it would be greatly appreciated.
