I've been searching all over and have not found any info on how to reassign a keyboard command to do something different without performing it's normal function. For example: stopping or interrupting the volume up button on the keyboard from raising the volume in windows. I'm using this event to increase the volume of my tuner via UIRT and I don't want windows increase the Main Mixer Volume.

Can this be done in girder?

From the manual (search for blocked and select keyboard library):

The keyboard table supplies three functions for suppressing events from specific keyboard keys. The settings are stored in the registry, so do not need to be reestablished on startup.

keyboard.AddBlockedKey([key])
keyboard.RemoveBlockedKey([key])
keyboard.ClearBlockedKeys()

key: String. The eventstring of the key to be blocked (Q = "51000000"). Use the Logger to get the eventstring of the key you want to block.
