View Full Version : Lua console and the print() function

While I'm thinking about long standing bugs, try typing the following in the Lua console :-

print('a', 'b')

This will indeed print 'a' and 'b', but spread over 3 lines with an unprintable character on the second line.

And while I'm on the Lua console there are a couple more issues

1) No facility to copy a selection (or indeed anything) from the console output

2) The time column is currently redundant - it should either be removed or implemented.

3) The history drop-down is in the wrong order in my opinion. Anything typed in the box is added to the end of the history, which makes it very difficult to repeat a sequence of commands that you've just typed once. e.g. pressing the down arrow key in the command box should bring up the most recently typed command, not the oldest. A means of clearing (or partially clearing) the history would be good too. Perhaps it shouldn't be a drop down? A list box might be better as a separate window.
