View Full Version : USBIRT Error on Resume from Standby

Currently, I'm evaluating your program with USBIRT and I get an error whenever I wake my computer from a standby state. The error involves a prompt telling me that the "USBIRT plugin is not enabled" (and the USBIRT is disabled in the device manager). I researched Jon Rhee's USBIRT forum and found only one manual solution that works (link (http://www.usbuirt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1734&sid=07fe0a13da492b85a63fa3eaaa6c9f36)), but is far from ideal. Also, this seems to be a common problem since I've found at least two individuals with the same problem during my forum search (link (http://www.usbuirt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5113)). I'm currently using the trial version of girder 5 beta, but had the same issue with the trial version of girder 4.

If the manual solution works then perhaps you could simulate the same thing from a bit of Lua code. ie create a new GML, add a Girder|Disable plugin action for the USB-UIRT and attach either the OnSuspend or OnQuerySuspend event to it, also add a Girder|Enable action and attach an OnResumeSuspend event to it.

You could also try the OnStandby and OnResumeStandby events.
