Hi All,

every now and again...ok about 4 times a day I get an error as attached

I think its when I'm doing something I shouldn't

eg.. trying to edit actions to a frame by right clicking

I just press continue

cheers

Mark

Thanks for that - trying to edit actions for a frame would certainly do that - obviously that option should be disabled for frames.

The first one is rather odd, presumably you were closing a tab?

The second one indicates something odd about the CCF you were loading - I'd need to see it to work out just what's going on there. Was that a CCF created with NRD? And if so, then what version of the CCF format?

The first is generated by starting a new ccf then closing the tab

The 2nd is viewing then closing a prexisting ccf i.e.: [mc800x600 2]
(promixis dot com slash download dot php?ID=23)

Viewing, edit, save all OK.

Using NRD2.007 / NR2.0.11.134

I can't reproduce either of these here I'm afraid.

I think the source of the problem may be the "just in time" debugger.

What JIT debugger?

JIT Debugger:

msdn microsoft com en-us library 5hs4b7a6 aspx

Gotta love that anti-spam bot

I know what the JIT debugger is, I'm just not sure how it would affect NRD in this way.

If memory serves, the issue with NRD (unhandled exceptions) only started after the JIT debugger was installed via MSVB Studio.

I've removed VB w/ JITdb and modified the registry (per MS) and still get the JIT pop-up dialogs. -According to MS this shouldn't be happening - if an app has an unhandled exception, w/o the JIT in place, it should be ignored or cause the app to quit - neither of which is happening.

One more FYI: When I open a almost any ccf with a previous ccf open. The unhandled exception flags the previously opened ccf - not the one being opened. Is there a way to tell the memory stats of a ccf? I have a large loaded image gallery - if that's any help.

There are a couple of places where the JIT debugger might get invoked, but the only usual place you get exceptions is when NR vanishes out from under NRD's feet. That exception is trapped but the JIT debugger should get in there first.

Is this the right thread for that? Are you running NRD on the master PC then?
