I need the serial plug-in on DS1806 digital sextet potentiometer.

Thanks!

Hi,
Others may be able to better advise, but I have been involved in a lot of serial devices with my home automation system, and this one appears to need a clock signal with the data signal and the voltage level requirements mean this can not directly be connected to the RS232 port (if that is your intention).
I believe (without looking too much into it) that this needs an interemediate MCU (such as a PIC with suitable programming, a Parallax propellor would be very easy to implement, although slightly over the top) as a converter.
As for the Girder serial port setup, the user guide on the serial setup is very informative and does have some worked examples which you may want to check out assuming noone else has already done this.
Regards
Jon

I'd recommend you search the board for the 1-wire plugin to see if it supports the DS1806. Also, you may want to use a DS9097U from http://www.aag.com.mx/aagusa/index1.html to handle the timing and serial interface to your DS1806.

DS1806 is not a 1-wire device...
DS2890 is the 1-wire digital potentiometer (supported by plugin)
