Is Rob still available to support Netremote and Netremote Designer? If not then who is supporting them these days?

Rob's been busy with other things; Ron and I are both here to help.

Cheers,
Tim

Well are there any plans to fix the known bugs in Netremote and Netremote designer?

Here is an example

The focus right now is on forward-looking projects rather than point releases of the existing NetRemote build. To the extent that users encounter issues which are show-stoppers in the exiting build, it's always possible that we could issue a point release in the future.

Tim

I identified what triggers the problem just over a year ago and Rob was able to reproduce it. Moreover, I pointed out (http://www.promixis.com/forums/showpost.php?p=139499&postcount=11) that the present NR release thread points to a MarcelUtils plugin version that's not compatible (http://www.promixis.com/forums/showpost.php?p=139539&postcount=19) with the present version of NR. And after the non-public release of last summer, I can't help but wonder if the code base has been lost; especially when so many bug fixes were pending. It seems to me that this IS a showstopper IMHO.

Please consider a round of "point releases" so you can at least archive a working, fairly bug free version of NR-2.

P.S. We miss Rob!

No point releases are scheduled at the moment. By show-stopper, I mean something that outright prevents NetRemote from running: an unavoidable fatal crash for example. I know that's not the answer you wanted, and I wish we could make everyone happy all of the time, but trust me when I say that it's to everyone's benefit for us to be focused on forward-looking projects at this point.

Sounds like you were able to get MarcelUtils working (thanks for posting this): http://www.promixis.com/forums/showpost.php?p=139500&postcount=12

If we do wind up posting a new point release at some point, it would include any code changes that had previously been checked in by Rob, as long as they did not introduce other issues.

Best Regards,
Tim
