Do you see any errors in the Lua console?
Using portmon do you see any data going back and forward?
Did you enable the components properly? (did you have to pick a com port in Girder?)

ok nothing shows in the lua console I have it set in components and it says receiver ok and I have tested with the w800 test program and the computers sees it and reads the data

I don't have that hardware here currently. So I'm not entirely sure how it works. But I believe you need to combine it with RF Receiver devices in the component manager.

I'm afraid that is as far as I know. As I said I don't have the hardware with me currently. Maybe someone else who uses this component can answer.

if someone can tell me where I should find the reaction from girder I should be able to sort it out

a quick look at LuaScript/Component/W800RF32.lua shows me that unknown data is silently ignored,...

else -- unknown data
--print ('w800rf32 extended data',math.formatbytes (data))
--extended data
end

maybe re-enable the print on line 177 will get things going...

ok dumb question based on the W800RF32.lua what can I add to tell if it is loading as I have uncommented allo prints but I still get no statements in the lua console

Thanks,
