I am totally new to this forum. I apologize in advance for my ignorance. I have spent some time browsing the Proximis website, and I believe that, using Girder 5 software, a PIR-1 transceiver, and any one of a number of audio video component remote control devices which I have, including a Harmony 670 remote, I should be able to fully operate my Windows desktop computer (in my office), from a chair in my theater room (about 20 feet away), to display movies, photos, and powerpoint presentations; browse the internet; and other simple computer tasks.

If this is incorrect, I would appreciate any advice or further suggestions for necessary software or equipment. I assume that the PIR-1 connects to a USB port on the computer, and is used to receive signals from a remote control emitter device and transmit those signals to the computer, for purposes of screen navigation.

Thanks very much.
