View Full Version : Send Alpha Key Via USB-UIRT

March 26th, 2013, 12:23 AM
I've looked through all of the past threads and can't find an answer to what seems to be a simple question. Also, there have not been any new posts in this forum for quite sometime, so I hope somebody is watching and can help...

I need to send an alpha-numeric key (like and "X" or "Y") out of the USB-UIRT. I cant' learn those keys from a remote, since I don't have a remote with the alphabet on it. I have tried sending "KEY Y", but that does not seem to work.

How can I get the proper I/R code for keys like the "X" and "Y" so that the USB-UIRT will send the equivalent of typing those on a keyboard?

I have to think I am missing something simple, but I have been messing with this for HOURS with no progress at all.

Thanks for any help!
