How would I go about distinguishing between two Denon receivers that are the same model but controlling different things within the same household. Basically I need to differentiate between them and send commands to the making the do different things.. I.e. one receiver on one source and zone and the other on another source and zone...

Thanks,
P. Rea

How are you controlling them? Serial or IR?

Either or was thinking about serial.. I found the plug-in for Girder 4 with serial communications for Denon Receivers.. I'm new to Girder. Also what is the best way to learn Girder and NetRemote?

Serial: They'll be connected to a physical serial port with a name. Easy to tell apart.
IR: With a PIR-1/PIR-4 or Global cache you can specifically target an output and thus a denon.

Learn: Dive in and start playing, look at the examples in the manual.

In theory I am going to use the PIO-1 and the PIR-4 to control two receivers, projector, hdmi over cat6 8x8 matrix, blu ray player and t.v.'s.

Does Anyone know if Girder can talk BacNet or any other automation protocol

Thanks,
P. Rea

Girder does not include bacnet.

What languages will Girder communicate in to say talk to industrial automation equipment such as Opto-22?
