View Full Version : Device Manager Question

March 12th, 2015, 10:31 PM
I have a W800 setup and receiving X10 codes.

I have a DM component that I can added devices to. I add a device for A1 that turns on/off a light.

From the W800, how do I send a command to the device for it to react upon?

How about using the cm11a plugin inside of it to a send the x10 command.

That is just one example. The W800 also supports the X10 motion sensors, which only send X10 commands. I need to know how to notify the device manager of receiving X10 events. The W800 also supports receiving events from the DS-10A devices.

Ok you need to update the DM from w800 events right? You have the devices created I assume

Girder 5 had a subscription mechanism for handling events. Does G6?

Another question. I am trying to get a list of devices into a Action ui. Is there something like below available for use in the JavaScript files?

var components = gir.deviceManager.components(13005)

Ok, so I have my DM component receiving events from the W800 and the CM11A. When I add a DM action and run the action I receive the following output.

Fri Mar 20 17:05:13 2015 Request for hardware change arrived 0 DeviceManagerAction

That code is being generated by my control.lua file in the onRequestValueChanged() method. From there how do I tell the CM11 object, in my component.lua file, to execute that command?
