1. How do i use png image files for buttons?

2. Are there sample UIs that i can start from? Where to access?

I assume you are using NetRemote. In that case you can find examples under <INSTALL>ui directory. Yes NetRemote supports PNGs if you build your own custom interface.

The trick is to use the "http://girder" prefix. This means girder will look for the image in the HTTPd directory of Girder. So if you enter: http://girder/Girder3D-436.png you'll find a big Girder logo instead of your button. Does that make sense?

yes it does. sorry for so many questions. I have ALS and this is going to be a life line for me.

I was able to get Hue on and off working. Pretty Simple. What would it take to do a slider for dimming?

No problem, questions is what the forum is for.

Use the KV Horizontal/Vertical Slider for that. Then from inside Girder you can read the slider value. The manual has some information on that. ( see scripting / kv )

png works but the event button is still there. How do i get rid of button?

You can't get rid of it, but you can make a PNG that is exactly the size of your button and just overlay it, hiding the original button. Will that work?

Make sure you connect to the same back-end as you were connected to before. Exit your Girder instance, then start Girder ( -not- Girder Local ). Look at the second tab "Local Network". Do you see an instance there? If so connect to it.
