hello Manu. En effet ta question est rammenée aux 3 mois environ.

There is no way as of yet for the IrDA, as the IrDA is not a remote control sensor, but an infrared communication port to exchanve information with other devices. Take it more as a comport then an IR receiver, and there is no technique yet that works with girder.

why is it you want to use the IrDA port exactly?

there are experiences made with different setups, maybe something will show up some day.

You can try at LIRC about a IrDA version, or search for somethign similar, but I'd definately go and build something instead... its not all that hard.

I have my IRDA port hacked to work as a reciveer, I use the info from the link and ajusted the driver. It works but on some remotes the codes must be too close so I have to skip buttons because they will give the same code if there next to each other, I'm thinking that if you use progamable remote to keep the codes very differant it should work just fine.

imagex I'd be interested to know how you did that

what plugin?

that could be interesting for several people as there is an onboard IrDA connector to most motherboards.

I can't find the page that I followed to do it, But I'm using the driver in the computer in my car. I'll search for it and post it.

Found it! It shows how to edit a driver called msports.inf and I belive I had to delelte some other drivers to, and the set the buad rate for the port.

If theres anything I can help with let me know.
