It looks like the web browser (Win32 version) if fine on my HTML pages but when I try to load an ASP it fails. Any reason why or does it just not support it?

That sounds funky, Aaron. It's just an embedded IE object, so I wouldn't think it would care about ASP's.

Can you find an example online that won't load, and I'll try it?

There is nothing I can find externally to my network that will do it. Here's the situation:

My HomeSeer server is named 'q'
I'm testing NR on my desktop with WinXP, IE6 SP1, etc.. and the pages all work fine loading in IE natively.

if I link NR to http://q:81 it works fine.

if in link NR to http://q/control.asp:81 I get an IE error stating "Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested."

can you try this same thing on your test machine?

Unfortunately I don't have anything running ASP internally. Is there some site on the net running ASP that you can't get to work that I can test against?

I think I have it working... strange that it was not working before.

I'll update if I have further problems with it... thanks!

This is an old thread, but if I found it someone else will prolly do the same.

The reason why:

http://q:81
worked but

http://q/control.asp:81
did not work is the fact that the portnumber shall be presented totgether with the hostname:

http://server:port/resource

in your ASP example above you added the port number at the end of the complete URL.
