Hmm, as mentioned in my other (http://www.promixis.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9856&sid=e785f44548d35e977ff6aea47bab92cb) thread, I've built a UIRT2 on veroboard based on this (http://users.skynet.be/sky50985/uirt2a_schem.pdf) schematic. At the time of the other post it was all working but after transferring it to my new enclosure it became unresponsive. I've replaced the PIC but still get the dreaded programming error at 0x0000. I assume that it's all soldered correctly as it did work once. The next logical step is to start replacing components. Given that ICSP isn't working I should start with those components, right? Can someone let me know specifically what components are used in the section for ISCP? Is there any way a failure in other components could affect programming? It's so frustrating as it's really a simple circuit. My thanks to anyone who can help me.

Ugh, please forgive me. It was the serial cable. It was working at work but not at home. Sorry guys...
