Hi,

I have a Logitech wirless keyboard with multimedia controls.
This seems to be able to control any media player, seemingly using some "global" controls.

Rather than having to code individual controls for EACH player in girder, is it possible to use these "global" commands that this, and presumanly other, multimedia keyboards use?

there are two ways the logitech keyboards control all applications,
1. the application is coded to accept multimedia keys which means girder wouldnt have to do anything special to make them work
2. the itouch software knows how to control that particlar applcation and translates the multimedia keys into other keyboard shortkuts for the program

HI Birty,

Wow! That was a quick responce! :)

Ok, you say Girder wouldnt have to do anything special to utilise these commands.

Is it possible for girder to detect what media player is active, then send the apropriate commands, like the logitech system?

yep, in girder 3 you need to have seperate groups for each application and then use the is foreground command under the girder tab with the tager set as the application you want to control to enable/disable the groups. this should be a bit easier in girder 4
