    Default DSC Security Systems PC5401

Hello. Curious if anyone has been working on any type of plugin or otherwise for DSC's security systems? I have one, and I have the RS232 communications adaptor.

I am not much of a coder, but I am going to give it a wing.

Before I do that though, I thought I might save myself some pain, and see if anyone else is working in this.

this goes in the girder/plugins/serial folder.

    reset girder (F11)

goto the settings page/plugins/serial and select the comport and enable this file.

events from the DSC should show up in the console.

you can also try sending a command to the unit. from the action tree, goto serial, send which will open up the send action. select the DSC and in the send box enter 001. press the test action.

    upload the console output here.

Heh. Getting cable to my system is proving to be a problem. I may have to just take my computer downstairs for a while and fiddle.

Havent had the chance to hook it up yet. I thought I could find an easy way to run cable upstairs from the alarm panel. But alas, that is proving to be more difficult than anticipated.

Send an ARM Stay Mode command to panel (0311)

    Then

    Code:

    Received command 652 data

ok, here is a start.... we will eventually set this up to trigger events which you can use to start actions...

try this out... try triggering some zones.
