    Default (Important) Feature Request

I'm not sure if this will garner any attention, but I would really like to see an action that is an enhanced "Play Wav" action. It would be identical to the one in place, but would include a drop-down where you could select the device that you wish to play the wav over, or rather than a dropdown, a popup that allows you to select the device as you would with the audio-picker used in volume control.

Any chances of this being created at some point, or should I place it in the same category as my variable conditional request? (Only teasing! )

I believe you can do this already by first changing the default soundcard to be used by Windows via lua 'scripting action', before triggering a 'play wav' action.

I've used to have some code for this when all my HTPC and office PC needs were still provided by one PC.

Thanks. Do you have the script for that?
It may be a good work-around in case of emergency, but if I am listening to music on my automation system I don't think that changing the default sound device would be an option.

Hey Ron any chance you could add this to the Action item for playing a wave file to allow which sound device its going to be played out so that the default sound channel Girder is using isn't bothered? I have seven sound cards and really don't want to change the default sound card as its dedicated for other uses.

I can see some uses for this with my 6 zone audio setup.

    Thanks
    John
