    Default Mce Remote support

    OpenMCEIRService

Provides the ability to receive and send IR signals from the Windows Media Center IR hardware independently of Windows Media Center and or the Remote that comes with it. Thus allowing you to use the IR receiver that comes with Windows Media Center as a universal receiver. Vista or higher OS required.

Note: To control Windows Media Center with this software loaded be sure to load the MCE2005.GML from the GML folder.

    Features so far:

    * Ability to recognize any RC5, RC6, NEC, REC80 and Sony remotes.
    * Supports sending (learned) CCF ir signals.
    * Supports multiple Mce receivers.

    TODO:
    * Implement learning

    The 0.4 installer:
    http://openmceirservice.googlecode.c...etup-0.4.0.exe

    Download Source Code here:
    http://code.google.com/p/openmceirservice/

Please respond with OS version and id on the back of your receiver so I can keep a list of compatible hardware.

    Tested:
    Vista (x64) - OVU400003/00
    Vista (x32) - TSES-IR01 (included with a Hauppage tuner )
    Win7 (x32) RTM 7600, latest update, HP receiver OVU4001030/00.

Wow, now is working without double push problem on win7?

Edit: When install this, it give me this:

Start Failed: The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

If i want to just start the process like OpenMceIrServicex86.exe it give this:

Execute failed: The service process could not connect to the service controller.

    as administrator

    then

    OpenMceIrServicex86 /s

Another thing, what plugin to use with this?

    Mceir.dll or mceplugin.dll ?

I tried both of them, its not working at all, my remote is not seen by girder.

    You use neither!

    The readme suggests:

    4. Place the file MceIr.lua in <GirderInstall>\LuaScript\transport\devices

    5. Start Girder

    6. Open the component manager, go to the transport manager and find the MceIR driver
Leave it's settings as they are and hit OK.

    7. Pressing any button on your Mce Remote should now produce output!

Let me know if that works for you.

not working at all, it's not seen by girder.

I have v2 receiver, mce remote v2, xbox 360 remote, and hp mce remotes.

Not working with all of them.

Take a screenshot of the transport manager dialog with your MceIr instance highlighted.

Is WORKING OK, but, i must stopped Intelliremote service for making girder work.
If intelliremote service is started, then girder does not see my remote.

That is to be expected. I'll add a note to the readme to this effect.

Are you on Win7? How is the double push problem?
