Yep I was already working on this. It's an strange issue. It's two fold.

First it was using regular 8 bit strings when it should have been using unicode strings. Fixed.

Second, on windows 7 connecting to a DSN is troublesome. (http://saulsays.blogspot.com/2011/03...windows-7.html)

I'm still puzzling over that one

    Thanks.
I tested with User or System DSN : same error.
I hope it will work, access to databases is very important.

Yeah I know, that doesn't solve it either. I'm stumped at the moment. I'll get back into it tomorrow. If I get this solved we'll have a new release tomorrow.

The version you are using has the UNICODE error, so it won't work at all.

I've been trying to connect to a DSN but am having very little success, even using a MS tool called ODBC Test I can't connect by using a DSN...

Not sure what happened but the darn thing started working after giving me that invalid or missing DSN for hours. Maybe I had abused it too much with the 8 bit strings

Anyway I'll prepare a new release for tomorrow.

    Works great in 6.0.0.27.
    Thanks
