Thread: Best way to move learned IR codes from 3.3 to 6

Default Best way to move learned IR codes from 3.3 to 6

I have a bunch of codes that I learned via the USB-UIRT plugin in 3.3

What's the best way to get those into Girder 6?

I tried exporting the GML, but when I tried to import into 6, it didn't show up in the tree.

If I open the UIRT plugin in 3.3, the commands aren't shown as a CCF, so they're not easy to cut/paste (so there's code 1 + code 2 + repeat + carrier + etc...)

I've got a working remote that holds all of the code, so a fresh "learn" is possible. Just wondering if there's a more efficient way since I have ~40-50 of 'em.

I'm sure we can figure out a more efficient way. Can you upload the GML with the IR codes so I can have a look? If at all possible try to only include the USB-UIRT actions.

    Attached. Thanks.

There are also some Lua scripts that talk to my Squeezebox server. It looks like I can easily implement those with network>>http requests.

    This worked great.

The only things that didn't import correctly were the girder GOTO nodes.

It's weird - they look correct. They have all of the controls of a goto node. But they don't work at all - even if I repick the correct node. Running the node does nothing.

    I'll have to check that.

It looks like the reference is not working. Click "clear", hit apply, then re-assign the link and hit apply again. That will fix it. I will try and put a fix in place for future releases.
