    Default PIR-1 on Raspberry Pi

I have a PIR-1 and I am having trouble getting it connected to Girder 6 on Raspberry Pi.

The console reports: PIR::PIR / Could not open device "0001:0004:00"

It seems like it is not attached to a serial port.
I can see that the PIR-1 is recognized on boot-up.

I have tried the PIR-1 in question with a Windows 7 version of Girder 6.
    The PIR-1 is not malfunctioning.

The one thing that could mess you up is permissions. If you run as root does Girder have access? If so try the attached udev rule.

    1. Rename to 99-pir.rules

    2. Place in /etc/udev/rules.d/

Unplug and replug the PIR-1. Try starting Girder again.

I didn't get a chance to test the rules tonight. Please let me know if they work.

    Ron,

    That worked.

    Thanks!
