smtp - no idea at this point, sorry.

connection window - I'll have to check, but you can pass commandline parameters to skip the connection dialog

xterm - sure use the execute action. Please make sure you run as a service not in-proc. Linux has an oddity when it comes to fork and Qt.

So the back-end is runnung on Raspberry, the front-end on Windows.

    I tried :
In the execute action file to execute : /usr/share/applications/lxterminal.desktop
Parameters : for exemple : sudo reboot

What is the good way ?

It's the terminal emulator application, I can't use it directly ?
Do I rather create an executable file ?

Well that is not the emulator that is a link to the emulator. Not necessarily executable link. Find the actual executable by opening the .desktop file with the text editor then use that to execute with Girder.

edit: when I say emulator I of course mean terminal emulator ( xterminal )

Has the repository changed since the original raspberry pi install instructions were written in 2013?

My install is failing with error 404 not found.

    Hi Ron,
I followed the instructions as per the first post in both that linux thread and the original raspberry pi install thread (they seem to be the same).

I got past the key bit OK and then did a sudo apt-get update and got errors when it tried to access the Girder bits (don't know the correct Linux terminology).

I then tried the Girder install (apt-get install girder) which basically said it couldn't find the Girder installation files.

I'm away from home until tomorrow when I'll retry to post the output. I tried to this morning (UK time) but for some reason the post wouldn't complete.

OK Just start a new thread when you have some actual errors.
