Hi! I apologize if this is in the wrong location--I tried searching the forum to see if I could find this information before I posted.

I have a Trane ductless (mini-split) HVAC system, which has a remote control that can act as a thermostat. I'd like to be able to simply turn this device on and off from my computer.

Does anyone know if this is possible using Girder and something like the Proximis PIR-1? Does anyone know if it's possible to control more advanced features of the device--temperature set point, mode, etc? I'm pretty sure most of these mini-split HVAC systems use a very similar protocol for controlling their functionality. They all seem to use these universal-style remotes, which work regardless of the exact model.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
